Our trainers have many years of experience dealing with casualties in real life situations. We have worked in the same environments as your own staff so we able to transfer these valuable skills into course content

At CA First Aid our courses are fully compliment with current health and safety legislation.

Our First Aid at Work (FAW) training courses and Wilderness and Outdoor First Aid training courses are tailored specifically for people working in an outdoor environment. Whether you are a forestry company looking for the Forestry +F first aid training course, a renewable energy or construction company with workers operating in remote environments, or an educational facility looking for a course that covers all the national governing body awards, we can tailor our courses to meet your own specific requirements.

Our instructors

Stewart Richardson (owner)

Stewart Richardson comes from an ex military and mountain rescue background serving 12 years as a section commander in the Royal Engineers seeing service in Germany, Falkland Islands and Northern Ireland at the hight of the troubles. on leaving the Royal Engineers Stewart  a career in the outdoor industry becoming a fully qualified Winter Mountain Leader (WML). When not working as a first aid trainer Stewart other job is working as an overseas expedition leader guiding and managing groups in the wild and remote places. This gives Stewart a very unique and rounded skill set and the ability to pull on many years of experience in many demanding situations with real life casualties.

After leaving the Royal Engineers after a successful 12 year military career Stewart entered into the full time outdoor and adventure industry sector. Stewart has qualifications in winter mountain leadership and many other national governing body awards. With over 30 years of working in an outdoor environment from leading expeditions all over the world including Antartica Africa and South America Stewart has built up a vast amount of experience in wilderness first aid, outdoor leadership and expedition planning.

As an ex member of Galloway Mountain Rescue team his military background and extensive expedition and wilderness experience means  Stewart has  gained  a very high standard and understanding of first aid in remote and harsh environments.
