Trauma First Aid

The CA First Aid and KARIS DEBEERE specialist courses, which can be tailored to suit specific requirements, address a range of threats to health and safety, including such factors as diseases, health and hygiene, known use of land mines, proliferation of weapons, etc. The focus of the course is to teach people how to identify and correctly assess risks to safety and security while living and working in areas that may be volatile, for such reasons as political unrest, unfriendly governments or regimes or harsh climatic conditions.

Trauma Training, First Aid Training and Injury Simulation Training

Trauma Training - First Aid Training for Uniformed Services

When it comes to a life and death scenario, you need to know your stuff. But as well as knowing what to do, you need to have the strength of will to act.

At CA First Aid and  KARIS DEBEERE ex-police, ex-military and mountain rescue team members supply trauma training and first aid training casualty simulations, offering potentially life-saving first aid training for uniformed services throughout the world.

Trauma Training: Saving Lives

The reality of violence and horror on the streets can leave the toughest of characters in a state of shock. A bomb blast leaves victims disorientated and shell-shocked. Seeing a victim, whether he or she is a soldier, civilian, adult or child, with a limb or limbs blown off can leave people frozen in horror. Quick thinking and a trained response can make the difference between life and death. Trauma training has been developed to help front line officers and medics, military personnel and other uniformed services take that split-second action, which could save a life.

Casualty Simulations: Coping with Carnage

It's no good having advanced airways skills or haemorrhage control techniques if you can't keep a level head. Trauma training provides realistic first aid training for uniformed services, offering effective shock management strategies. Being trained and capable around carnage and horror and keeping mentally strong in order to provide medical care is a life-saving skill. Medics, emergency staff and personnel with trauma training are invaluable in emergency situations and disaster zones, such as live fire situations, terrorist bombings and earthquake hit countries. As the attacks in New York, London and Moscow have shown, terrorism is a continued threat to civilians all over the world.

Real Amputees: Real Training

Using casualty simulation scenarios ensures our trauma training is as realistic as can be. Trauma training is at the heart of an officer's professionalism. Working in true-to-life conditions makes all the difference. When an individual without a leg says he was lucky that day because an officer with trauma training was on the scene, that's what trauma training boils down to: ensuring the right people act in the right way at the right time.
